Undeniable things: part 1

un·de·ni·a·ble

2.not open to refusal: an undeniable call for help.
3.unquestioned as to quality, merit, etc.; indisputably good: undeniable artistic talent.

A good friend of mine and I often discuss the nature of the many things coming out in this day in age, and unfortunately, so many products just spew shit. Whether it be music, games, movies, television, books... good gracious the list just extends into everything. Not saying that shit spewing is always bad, hell, I like to get a lil' gutta every once and again, but like some bangin'-ass chilli or one too many shots of mr. cuervo, those things never stay in your system long. But fear not, every now and again there is a glimmer of hope, things that are just so well thought out that whether or not you liked said product, it has earned your unspoken respect. Those kinda things that after you experience it, you take it with you to that secret place that was created within you many years ago during childhood, the place of dreams.
Now what does this have to do with the X-files? Well besides being one of the greatest shows ever created, Chris Carter and Co. often did one shot stories which tend to vary from enjoyable to amazing to holy shit. "Tithonus" happened to be on the holy shit scale for me. I saw it years ago and remembered it in great detail, saw it again today and even knowing what was gonna happen, I was still punched in the face with awe (so much so that I let it run again and it was still badass). However, the deciding factor that made this episode fully cross over from amazing to holy shit was the name of the episode
"Tithonus". This series has always had weird titles that I'd seldom give second thought, so today I changed that and looked up up the meaning and instantly the episode became, undeniable. Without discussing it further, there is linkage below to watch the episode (though I highly recommend buying the series), and afterwards, look up some info on Tithonus. Lets make undeniable shit people and let all the corn pebbles of the world float into the forgotten. Muse out!
